The Original

After an absence of 25 years the Impala SS returned in the Chevrolet line up for the 1994 model year. The LT1 engine produces 80 bhp more than the engine of the Caprice it is based on and gives the Impala SS impressive performance figures. It proved a popular car as in its first year the planned 6000 were built but demand led to a 41000+ production in 1996.
