The Original

One of the most extreme machines to race in the World Rally Championship was the 450bhp Audi Sport Quattro S1 EVO. The S1 was raced with a lot of succes. In the hands of Walter Rohrl, it won the first ever rally it competed in. Later that year, in the Rally San Remo, Rohrl won 29 of the 45 stages. After Group B was banned in 1987, Rohrl entered the S1 in the notorious Pikes Peak hillclimb, with a lot of success.
