The Original

In the late sixties and early seventies the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA dominated the European Touring Car Championship. That championship seemed to have its last run in 1988 but returned in 2001. Ofcourse Alfa Romeo was one of the first to enter to once more rule the touring car scene. The car used was the 156 and it proved a winner straight from the box and won the championship. For the 2002 season the winning cars were not modified much but that didn't stop 2001 champion Fabrizio Giovanardi from winning the first three of four races run.
