The Model

Excellent and detailes model in scale 1:43. Interior and exterior trully to detailed. It is very good crafted with attention to detail and to a high finishing.

The Original

At the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1975 and the concept of the ‘hot hatch’ – a small car with eye-watering performance and excellent handling was born. Originally intended as a limited edition of 5,000, production began in 1976. The self-imposed limit was quickly breached as customers clamoured for more. Progress in the UK in the early days was halting, however. Just 22 LHD cars were imported into the UK in 1978, but when RHD drive versions finally became available in 1979, sales increased rapidly. Five generations and 1.5 million sales worldwide later the GTi is still going strong.
