The T-72M1
The T72 combat tank replaced the T-55 as the back bone of the Warsaw Pact associations.
It was exported to many other countries and manufactured under licensce in Poland, the CSSR, India andthe former Yugoslavia. Thet-72 combines robustness with a 125 mm smooth bore gun, good armour plating and manieuvrability. To increase the range, barrels of fuel can be transported on the rear.
Under the nose, tere is a small snow blade, which the tank can use to dig itself in with no external assistance. Even states such as Poland and Finland, which use the younger Leopard2, still have the T-72 in service.
