With the 7 series, which apperead for the first time in 1986, BMW introduced an extensive generation change in its top class models. Compared to the preceding 7 series it had considerably larger interior dimensions with an elegant sporty appearance, and improvements had been made that were intened to meet the demands of building the best automobile in this class
In the economically prices 730i model with a cubic capacity of 3 litres, which was not available until 1987, the inline six cylinder engine of the car produced an output of 135KW/184HP at maximum torque of just over 260 Newton metres.
The ACS stability control, which automatically locked into the motor management in borderline cases, was a new addition to the drive system.
The interior of the 7 series BMW provided an outstanding amount of space, at the same time offering all conveivable comfort.
