Bentley Continental GT
For most car lovers the name Bentley immediately conjures up images of large, luxurious limousines. Yet as the continental GT proves, there is no need for Bentley fans to do without the sporty aspect of car driving.
The W12 Cylinder engine is already being used in the VW Phaeton - and has only undergone minor revision and been fitted with two turbochargers for its use in the Bentley. The four wheel drive and adjustable air suspension have also been contributed by the parent group.
All the components the driver comes into contact with, however, are pure Bentley. Four square metres of burr walnut and 10 cowhides are required for each and every vehicle to give the interior a sporty but classic appearance.
In addition, the prices for the Continental GT have been set moderately below the previously usual level, an indication that new clientele is being sought for the brand, a strategy that should easily succeed in combination with its striking design and its superior performance.
