Ford's 1968 Mustang GT Coupe was distinguished from its predecessor, the '67 model, by its federally mandated side marker lights and a revised grille.
The horizontal grille bars were removed, chrome trim was added and the corral around the pony was thinner.
New cosmetics were also included for 1968, with new styled steel wheels in chrome or painted silver with special GR hub caps and new 'C' stripes that accented the side scoops.
The GT also came with standard front disc brakes, performance tires, heavy-duty suspension and dual exhaust with chrome quad outlets. The details and features of this great American performance machine make it instantly recognizable icon that is distinctly Mustang.
