Chevrolet Corvette Coemmemorative Edition 2004( Coupe and Convertible).
The fifth generation Chevrolet Corvette has generated remarkable performance figures, both on the road and on the race track.
In 2004 the final chapter in the C5-R era, the Commemorative Edition emphasizes visual punch rather than power upgrades. Most notable is a special Le Mans Blue Paint, the same hue used on the C5-R contenders that returned to Le Manos in 2003 and narrowly missed achieving a third win in the vehicle's class in the famed endurance race. The commemorative package includes a special shale coloured interior, with the seats incorporating Corvette cross Flags embroidered into the headrests. Also part of the mix are exterior badges acknowledging the Corvette's Le Mans success. The 2004 Z06 gets a race inspired option in the form of a lightweight carbon fibre hood that weighs just 20.5lbs, 10lbs less that thestandart unit, andis constructed of unique, single direction fibres intended to eliminate waviness, a trair common with painted carbon fibre. Atop the paint are silver stripes with red edges, similar to the stripe package used as a L e Mans only aesthetic on the C5- race cars.
