The BMW 2002 Turbo was known as the "New Age" sports sedan. Only 1,672 units were made between 1973 and 1975 and none were certified for sale in the USA.
The engine produced 170 bhp at 5800 rpm. The distinguishing feature of the Turbo was the KKK turbocharger which was mounted low on the front right side of the engine and had air fed to it through a tube. A large front spoiler and four over-fender, housing the optional 13" alloy wheels.
